The Dream Center’s mission is to destroy the root of addiction, restore hope and recover freedom by providing unconditional love.
Prayer of St. Francis of Asisi
Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace!
That where there is hatred, I may bring love.
That where there is wrong, I may bring the spirit of forgiveness.
That where there is discord, I may bring harmony.
That where there is error, I may bring truth.
That where there is doubt, I may bring faith.
That where there is despair, I may bring hope.
That where there are shadows, I may bring light.
That where there is sadness, I may bring joy.
Lord, grant that I may seek rather to comfort, than to be comforted.
To understand, than to be understood.
To love, than to be loved.
For it is by self-forgetting that one finds.
It is by forgiving that one is forgiven.
It is by dying that one awakens to Eternal Life.
The Dream Center: Restoring Hope and Power
The Dream Center works with the Rutland community, providing unconditional love and acceptance to empower people struggling with many different types of challenges. We work one-on-one with individuals to help each person make the needed life changes that will enable that person to move forward, towards positive change. The Dream Center offers freedom to be, to explore and to grow.
The Dream Center aids veterans, the homeless, the economically disadvantaged, people fleeing domestic violence, underprivileged and at-risk children and others who need help. We seek to achieve this by finding those who are struggling, embracing and journeying with them until they become whole again.
The Dream Center of Rutland is a non-denominational faith-based organization, but we are neither a church nor a branch of a church. We are followers of Jesus Christ’s mission of going out into a hurting world and spreading love and acceptance.
The Dream Center is entirely volunteer driven. We are a Vermont non-profit corporation and an IRS-designated 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our operating budget is 100-percent donation based and no federal- or state-tax dollars are used to fund The Dream Center.
